Default Novak M2 Dig with 23T 550 motors.......?

Is anyone running Traxxas 23t 550 motors with the M2 Dig? I want to put my XR-10 back together and the only matching motors I have are the 23t from an E-maxx.

Thanks

Actually read posts much? They also used the same motors in the first of the e-revos as well IIRC.

Blademech: I think that would be pushing the limit of the M2. Reliability of them is spotty at the best of times, running a pair of hot(ish) motors might push them too far. Novak gives a motor limit of 27t single motor or dual 33t in 540 size.

Will a 550 sized motor fit into a XR and not cause clearance issues with the bottom links?

atleast on mine a 550 motor will not work for 2 reasons. 1) the pinion would need to be a larger size so it could be spaced back far enough. and 2) the lower link would have to be at 90* angle from the axle due to the extra can length
