| traxxas velineon issue
so i ran my truck the other day. did some mudding and small water crossings. now when i put in a battery the esc turns on right away with a green light. then the light goes of with a couple seconds and starts a red blinking sequence. red once, then twice, then three times. then it starts over. ive only had the setup a week or so and this is the first time its seen any type of water. and yes it is the waterproof setup. any ideas what has happened?

Try pushing the power button on the esc and holding it in. it will cycle the same, but let it go when it hits the first red light again Sent from my Motorola Electrify using Tapatalk |

you have encounted the infamous sticky button syndrome!!!!! bwah hah hah wah hahhhaah two ways to fix it... 1. find some needle nose pliers or wire cutters (just something you can get a good grip on the sides of the power button) and if using cutters, be sure and not apply too much pressure and cut off the nub... spray the button preferably with some contact cleaner (found at lhs) or some wd-40 and use the pliers or cutters to move the button in and out in attempt to remove the dirt or whatever that is stuck in there. repeat as many times as needed till the button releases smoothly. 2. send it to traxxas (you can find there info on they're website). it will cost you shipping fees of course, but i can definately say from past experience that they have the best customer support in the industry, and 9 times out of ten they will replace it with a new esc good luck bro! |

local racers have been glueing a shock diaphram over the button to keep crud out of it, this seems to be the most annoying problem when it happens.

You have to re-sync the esc to the controller

Hope I don't offend but do you know how to re-sync the esc??? Turn on remote Plug in esc Power up esc and continue to hold button until you get first red light Let go At the first blink give the remote full throttle Next blink full reverse Next blink release the trigger It then should turn either solid green or red depending on lipo/non lipo set-up And sorry for such a generic explanation, but you can find a better one on traxxas's website And again good luck |
