| Hitec Servo Horn
I'm looking to get more steering out of my Hitech 7954SH servo. I've found a ton of compatible horns out there but would like a recommendation. Anyone have a favorite aftermarket horn that's longer than stock?

Hobbyking has a good clamp on horn for about $3, there are a few vendors selling them here on RCC aswell. HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : CNC Alloy Servo Arm Short (HITEC) |

Did you know that you can increase travel to 180degrees on a hitec digital servo with a hitec programmer? Just wanted to let you know in case that is new info to you. It's something that I have to do on my rigs that have 50deg steering. Otherwise I would not get full travel even set at 120percent in radio.

Thanks guys. I only need a little more travel - I think a longer horn will work perfectly. The programmer is an interesting idea , but probably overkill for me.

What would be easier on a hitec servo, a longer arm or more programming?

Why??!! If you draw out the servo arm sweeps. the further you get from "0" on the servo, the less movement you get at the knuckle. Thus, you move the arm a lot but get little more steering. A downside is that as you lengthen the arm you also reduce the torque from the servo to the knuckle. "Fix one thing, FUBAR another". | |
