Default Hitec 5955tg or 7955tg over 6v??

Is it ok to run either of these 2 servos over 6v? If so, what is the highest/safest setting? I am aware the stats show 6v torque values, but figure many of you have experience with these higher than 6v so asking for your opinion and experience. Thx!

ive heard of ppl running the 7955 at close to 7v-7.4v on 1.9 comp rigs but on a 2.2 i wouldnt go past 6.5v. i have mine at 6.3v on my xr10 and it gets fairly warm, but not hot. main thing is if u up the voltage do in small increments and try it and check the temperature after use

I have the 7954SH it can run at 7.4V to get max torque. I read that the 7955TG shows 6.0V max so I am not sure if you should be using more juice in that one. It looks decent at 6.0V anyway. 333oz./in.

the 7955 is OK at 6.0V, but I bumped mine up to 6.5V a while back after I heard some of the other local guys had been running close to 7V on theirs. About a half-dozen comps and I dont know how many practice sessions later, it's still running strong. Only really gets warm when I get in nasty binds.

Sorry to steal your thread. I just got a savox digital SC-0254 but not sure if my 4200mah battery would be ok with it

What pack?????? LiPO (1S, 2S, 3S.....), NiCD/NiMH (how many cells)????? The mah rating is not the issue, it's the voltage.

Savöx SC-0254 Servo Specifications and Reviews it's rated for 6volts, 2S LiPO may be a bit much, even drained down.

I ran a 7955 for over a year at 7 volts. The only thing is you have to be very careful at the endpoint settings. It seems to be more sensitive the higher the voltage.
