Default traxxas plug?

OK got a vxl3s and want to solder my CCbec to it. But I want to pull the black plug off and solder as close to the plug as I can so I don't have to cut and splice and tape or shrink wrap. This way it will all fit into the plug. OK the problem is how do the wires come out of the black plug? Might be a dumb ? but I'm new to the traxxas plugs. Thanks

Default Re: traxxas plug?

Use a small flat screwdriver and from the front opening push the copper colored blade out the back of the plug.
After you solder the bec's power wires to the batt wires I would still cover it with shrink wrap before slinding the blade back into the traxxas connector.
