Angry Castle Sidewinder 4600 NOGO

Been finicking with this 4600 system for a while now and finally got it setup to run in my basher/track car (rustler jacked up with knobbies)
Cant afford the Li-po route yet so I run 6 cell Nimh.

Had it out at the local dirt track the other day and the batteries werent quite hot but I got a few good laps out of them. Today I made sure to run a full discharge and peak charge cycle on my battery and go out again.

Drive the 10miles to the track, plug in and turn it all on and all I get is steering.

All the connections are good. Flip the ESC power switch and I don't get the usual beep sequence, I only get half of it.

So tired of this brushless crap, its been nothing but an expense and hassle with very little profit.

IMO the $120 for this system should perform better than the >$30 brushed motors...

Try rebinding the ESC to the radio.

What type of lights and sounds does the ESC give off. Look up the manual and it will tell you what lights and sounds mean what.

@ nofriendstaco
Dont have the booklet within reach atm as its 200mile away ha.

Lights are:
0 Throttle-> green
0-full -> no change
0- reverse-> red

Sounds on power on:
falling beep, chirp chirp end.

Normally its falling, chirp chirp chirp, falling falling.

@cartronicshn

Heres where my noobishness comes out. when I was setting up the system at first and having issues i was on tech support with Castle and the techy said nothing of lipo cutoff.

How do I best shut that off?

Thanks guys

The reason its not working is because your throttle trim is not at the position the esc sees as neutral, turn it on and when it does its beep sequence and stops adjust trim slowly until it does the final falling beep, or just recalibrate to your transmitter
