Default capability question

recently my good ol futaba took a dump and hasn't been working right I know what to fix but it will just wreck it more.

I have my eyes set on this guy
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXGAG2**&P=0
I would like to buy a spektrum but i happen to have several Rx for my old futaba so if i can get a radio that works with them it would be a bonus. Both radios seem the same 75 Mhz and are 3 channel and there for surface use the only difference i see is the numbers on them one reads R133F and the one with the new radio reads R153f does this even matter?

The 133s run a short crystal, 153 runs a standard crystal.

Order the new radio on the same channel as the crystals in the 133 that you currently have. If you don't you'll end up ordering short crystals so you can use the 133 RXs with the new TX.

the 153 says to use short crystals on tower and when I searche for the 133 it says to use short crystals only. Whats the deal there the same except for the layout the 153 has the crystal above the slots while the 133 has them on the side. Im thinking this is just an updated 133 to go with the upgraded 3PM radio which is basiclly the replacement for the 3PDF.
