Have you looked on Traxxas' site for instructions?

Isn't an additional receiver also a different receiver? :ror:

Try it. The worst that will happen is that it doesn't work.

is it a links version? it should bind anyway, but if its not the links version, you will have to mess with trims and servo reversing everytime you run different models

i have to mess with the trim everytime i run it anyway because it gets bumped and changed constantly so that shouldnt be a problem. i'll just have to right down the settings

i have traxxas 2.4 transmitter bound to 4 receivers no problem. there is an older receiver #2217 which i dont think works with the newer 2.4 transmitter. i dont get any problem at all. even the memory seems ok for each receiver

are you holding 'set' on transmitter while switching on, then with red led flashing. holding link button on receiver while switching on?

What color is the receiver you are trying to bind to?

there is no link button. it's not a traxxas receiver

Right from the Traxxas site:

The Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz system is not compatible with other radio brands.

Obviously. It never hurts to read a little bit past what you want to know...
