Default Koh rock racer esc/motor combo??

Im going to be building a koh rock racer, it will be axial based,I want tons of torque but a lot of wheel speed.... I was looking at the Novak goat 3s 18.5 and the novak 2s 13.5.. Not sure if the 13.5 will have that low end tourqe? What I'm really looking for is a 3s system

Mamba Max Pro with a castle BEC and a Tekin Pro4 3300. I personally would stay away from anything Novak. Castle has a great warranty, and the Tekin Pro4 motor is a beast and a half. You could go Tekin ESC if you wanted to order a combo, but the MMP works very well and will save you a few $$$. DO NOT FORGET A BEC WITH EITHER.

4600 or higher is too fast for a KOH rig, IMO...
I was running a 3000kv (13T) and had to go back to a brushed 12T..It was WAAY too much torque for my 10# solid-rod rig!..(not to mention it was not very scale..no 1:1 has that much acceleration off the line..)

On my 11lbs. TTC KOH buggy Axial based I run a Holmes BRXL w/a 10T Cobalt Puller on 4s with no issues! Thanks to DMG for the chassis...still freaking awesome and it's been banged, rolled, smashed, and just keeps running!

I was worried all that weight it will have problems with not enough torque...spoke to John Holmes about my plans for this rig and he gave me great advice on choice of motors. I still prefer brushed over sensored brushless.
