| different electrics
hi all, ive been running scx10`s for 2 1/2 years now and kinda got a little stuck in my ways regards electrics. the last set-up i had was, traxxas xl5 esc, tekin 45t brushed motor, savox 0252 steering servo, spektrum radio gear all running on 2s lipo. now my truck had heavy 2.2" wheels and when trying to turn the wheels wouldn`t unless the truck was rolling. so my question, is the servo getting enough juice into it?? ive never used a external bec either, so would you guys recommend a different esc or just add a bec. now i would prefer it to be waterproof too if using a new esc or could i go for a brushless combo?? it would be mainly used on light trails, the occasional scale comp. at the moment im rebuilding it on 1.9"s and going for a more scale look. any help welcomed..... thanks, gaz. |

a bec wouldnt hurt but that servo only has 146oz/in of torque which isnt enough for 2.2s so thats why it wouldnt steer
