Mamba max sct esc Will the mamba max sct esc run a brushed motor and what would be a good motor to put on it for bashing to get decent speed |
Re: Mamba max sct esc yes, but you need to program it with a program card or castle link and put it into brushed mode. you'll just use the red and black wires, the white one just zip tie somewhere out of the way what are you putting this in exactly? that's going to help determine what motor would be best, but if you're looking for decent speed at least a 21t or lower. the Traxxas motors are cheap and can be gotten anywhere, so that may be an option, just don't expect them to last too long on 3s, and if you're thinking 4s or higher, well, don't even bother trying, lol if you're just looking to bash, my buddy just put a cheap $25 HobbyWing brushless motor in his 2wd Stampede with a Sidewinder, and HOLY HELL is it quick on just 2s. I have a $25 Tacon motor on my 1/16 Revo, also powered by a Sidewinder, and it takes a beating and has PLENTY of speed and torque. don't rule out brushless if all you're wanting to do is bash; there are cheap options out there |
Re: Mamba max sct esc It's in an axail wraith. I got it cheap from someone and wanted to see what it would do in the wraith. It's jerky at take off. |

Brushed motors are the best, in general, for crawling, sensored BL is second best, unsensored is last. I would look in the Wraith section to see what others recommend & why. |
Re: Mamba max sct esc Tekin Redline sensored 13.5t |
Re: Mamba max sct esc I love when people give bits and pieces of info as they go along. Could be your esc is set up for uncensored or the sensor or cable for the motor are not working. |
Re: Mamba max sct esc It's just a basher nor for crawling, I want good speed out of it. Yes it's uncensored |
