| 4 pl with dual esc programming issues!!!
Here is the basic rundown. I've got 3 crawler roosters. I watched the videos Harley has for programming the 4 pl. did programmed it it's close but no go. My main issue is when I turn on the speed controllers the rear motor just starts running in reverse like half throttle. I give it throttle and at 1/4 throttle front is going forward and rear is going reverse. 1/2 throttle front is going faster and rear is now going forward slowly. Full throttle they they are both going full speed forward. Let off the throttle and rear stops then starts going reverse again. If I move the subtrim all the way forward and move the regular trim to about 38 it will stop going reverse. Then if I throttle car forward the front starts going and the rear doesn't start moving till I am about 1/2 throttle. I'm so frustrated. |

You might want to give us a little more setup info. Did you set the epa's at 0 when calibrating, etc...

How do I calibrate speed controls. I bought this radio off eBay it was in box but no instruction. Maybe I'll go to hobby shop tommorow and see about a manual.

Just download the manual from Futaba. Also download the Rooster manual from Novak. |

What you need is the manual for the ESC's not the radio. Calibration is a procedure to let the ESC know what signals it will receive for Forward, Reverse, and Neutral. To verify the radio programming you could always go into the monitor screen and verify that the two throttle channels are indeed the same when set for full power. |
