Normally LiPo's are roughly a volt higher than NiMH. A 2S LiPo will peak at 8.4v on the charge. What did you charge yours to?

13v is over a fully charged 3s lipo that is usualy 12.6v i'd put the charger on lipo discharge mode and bring it back down, if it wont let you just run it down in a car or RC that can handle a 3s lipo, i'd keep an eye on it for a bit but i'm pretty sure it'll be just fine, as each cell is likely only over charged by 0.1333333333...v

Should be just fine. My charger shuts off at 4.20 volts per cell.

he charged it in nimh mode, the non-lithium modes don't monitor cell voltage
