on the charger it says the end voltage will be 8.4v 2s. is that too high to charge a 7.4v battery to?

2's lipo will be 8.4v at full charge(4.20v per cell if in balance) lipo cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7... this x2 is 7.4... nominal voltage is NOT fully charged.

just make sure you use lipo setting's! it's always a good idea to balance charge lipo's every charge cycle. as well

Just a little tidbit. Lipos don't like to be stored at full charge. I usually don't charge mine until right before I go out. If I run them completly dead ill give them a half charge at home or wherever until I plan on going out again.

Ummm....by "completely dead" I HAVE to assume you mean, "run to LVC"?
