Default which motor?

I ahve a scx 10 with 2,2 boggers on it and its weights about 7 lbs. What would be a good motor to run? I want to keep wheel speed and still be able to crawl a little. any advice would be greatful thanks! also I am running 3 s lipos and a hh brxl esc

I would say a good brushed 27 Turn or a good brushed 35 Turn motor. You can always change pinion gears to get more torque/speed with either motor.

The 27 is going to be faster than the 35t. I run 35T Handwound motors in all the scalers I have had.

I built my 11 year brother a SCX and had a 35T in it at first. He liked to bash around the yard as well as crawl with me at comps. Comps are only once month, so I swapped out his 35t for a 27t motor and he loves it. Just not that great for hardcore crawling.

I'd go with the 35t. If you still want some speed, it's easier to swap in a 4s than to swap out motors.
