It really depends on how it's driven.

Battery life is relative to motor speed and load, and that is anything but constant.
You could technically calculate run time based on a constant load and speed but that's not the reality of crawlers.

Best bet would be to run several packs through driving as normal as possible and then average it out to get your nominal run time.
If you don't have the lipo yet, then try to borrow one for the testing.

1000mah isn't going to last very long in a heavy scaler, but it depends on how you drive it.

That pack is good for about 30a, so don't hammer on it too hard.

Figuring amp capacity is easy.

Take the mah rating and move the decimal point over three places, so 1000mah becomes 1a.

Multiply the C rating with the Amp rating: 30c x 1a = 30a.

30a is what it will safely supply the esc. There is most likely a burst rating, but I never pay attention to that.

Bob,
Been using these Sky Lipo 2650mAh 11.1V 40C in my 9ish pound Jeeruggy. I get around 40 mins or so on it in a
G6 type thing. Running 2.2's, Tekin Pro4 & MMP.

Running these Sky Lipo 3300mAh 11.1V 40C
in the 7ish pound Wreeper. Get around an hour. Running 1.9's, Mamba Max &
27T brushed.

Get the biggest you can fit nicely and with a high C rating
