Question ******servo not working*******

Hey guys.

OK, Ive just recently put in a external bec ( because the other one fried) and the throttle works and everything but when i turn the steering wheel the servo doesn't even move a bit, but when i turn the steering trim it turns.

I'm running really low on cash because i just spent $185 on thunder tiger phoenix st and just put a $180 esc and motor and the lipo is charged to the max and it works fine with the battery but i have NO turning.
Any suggestions ????

what brand of servo? BEC might not be hooked up right especially if its a hitec servo as they need the ground, and signal wire hooked to the Rx when you use a BEC or they get flakey. Hot should go to the BEC only if hitec.

When you hook a bec straight to the servo it's brand doesn't determine what wires need to go t the rx, the rx brand does. I only have hitecs and 2 of them have becs wired to them and both only have the signal wire going to the rx, some brands like rutabaga and spectrum rxs need the ground wire going to the rx only if they act glitchy. They will still try to work. My guess is either the bec isn't hooked up right, servo is bad, or maybe a faulty bec. What brand servo and bec?

+1, all my HiTecs have external CC BEC's run direct to them, the only servo wire I run to the RX is the signal wire.
I run Futaba & GT3B radios, no glitch issues.

As to the original issue, can you try a different RX? If the steering trim works but not the steering wheel, that sounds like a radio issue, not servo.

How about a different TX? Do you have a local friend you can plug your electronics into??
I still think it's a radio issue since you have swapped everything BUT the radio (TX).
