You definately need both caps and if you are gonna use 3s lipo's you should upgrade to a larger cap, I can't remember who , but someone on the forum sells a replacement cap for use with larger batteries |

You only need one stock cap according to the vp of Tekin. The radio shack cap is a pile of junk and not fast enough. The more caps you put the better it is but, I run 2 13 holmes hobbies crawlmaster pro's with squished fxr's and 1 cap for almost 2 years and never a problem. Hope it helps Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2 |

Phliint is right. I've been running the stock cap on my berg, with 2 fxr's 4 awhile now. Mine are "sandwiched" as well. Works great. You only need 1, on either, in case i was'nt clear. See ya out there!

I'm not liking the product description on that cap page either. Yeah, 4S will blow our cap because it is a 16V cap, 4S fully charged is 16.8 Our cap is a high quality polymer, not a standard electrolytic. It reacts very quickly and performs well on 2-3S. Yes the FXR may handle 4S, but we don't rate it for that so be careful. To answer your question LeandroX, you can use one, but if you have room then I would put them both on there. |

Kudos to Tekin for monitoring the forum and jumping in to help! That's what makes this forum great and keeps me running FXRs in my rigs!

| Re: tekin fx-r cap Second that. I'm doing my first xr10 build with dual fxr esc(in fact first build full stop as I've had an rtr losi night crawler up till now). The electronic build is seeming the most daunting, but between brilliant support from Tekin, Holmes, and all the tips on this site I'll hopefully not make a total cock up of it. |
