Default Holmes Motor Question

Hi,

I have a SCX10 I'm building and had to flip the trans around backwards as the dig servo mount hits the electronics box in the stock position. I was going to order the Holmes Torque Master Pro ESC/Motor combo, but was wondering if I need to get a motor customized to run properly with the trans pointing in the opposite direction.

Thanks

No, any motor should work or you. If anything you may need to reverse the throttle, either in your radio settings or (at worst) switching/resoldering the motor lead wires.

+1....or.....loosen the 2 screws that hold the motor endbell on & rotate it 180*. You may also be able to reverse the throttle in the ESC.

Ok thanks for the replies guys. Wasn't sure about the whole timing thing. Was doing some reading over at HH in the tech section and they were talking about the motor spinning slightly faster one way than the other "The motor will spin faster “forwards” as compared to “reverse”. Kinda a noob with electric motors and a little confused still.

What you are describing is "motor timing". Get things going and ask further questions (in THIS thread) if need be.
