Default waterproof boxes for electronics

I got my little cousin I used scx 10. He asked me about waterproofing. I told him you can plastic dip electronics, put them in a balloon or waterproof box. He did all three. the truck is all stock except for tekin and crawler motor.

I know people have put speed controllers in boxes but don't they need airflow? just want to check so he doesn't Cook anything

thanks again

unless you're running at the ragged maximum edge of your ESC's specification, modern ESCs should barely get warm

even the ones that come with fans from factory, fan can be amputated when used with high turn motors

From my experience, tekin's tend to over heat a little bit being inclosed. I say if you can find a box that has a good amount of space around it, should help. Like a Traxxas waterproof esc box.
