Default Bored on a Sunday, weight loss project

Im waiting on my other fxr so i decided to take apart the one i have now, as well as my rx, and my cc bec to see how much i could lose. I didnt go crazy, everything i did was the easiest and something anyone could do. Here are some pics.

Although in the "before" pics they are taken apart already everything is there to be weighed as if they were untouched. Some items have already had their wires shortened from my first wiring weight loss...

Punk Dig

Tekin Fxr BEFORE

Tekin Fxr AFTER(this is also with my 2 modified wire battery posts)

Futaba R2004GF BEFORE

Futaba R2004GF AFTER

CC Bec BEFORE

CC Bec AFTER

Fxr stacked on the Futaba Rx BEFORE/AFTER

My electronics BEFORE weight was...
Single Fxr
Futaba R2004GF
CC Bec
Punk Dig

Total unmodified weight = 82.10g / 2.89 oz

My electronics AFTER weight is...
Dual Fxr (i doubled my single modified fxr weight for now since i dont have both yet)
Futaba R2004GF
CC Bec

Total modified weight = 48.54g / 1.71 oz

Total weight saved = 33.56g / 1.18 oz

I wasnt sure if there would be issues or not. If so i also thought about this layout on the skid. Esc's and bec up front, and the rx in the center...

I would be happier with that.
Even with the spacing of a case, you can have issues with the ESC & motor wires close to the RX.
Stacking the 2 with no cases could have even greater issues.

So you removed the heatsinks...might lead to some thermal fun.

Figured there was a vendor in the vendor section selling them like this so there cant be to many issues. Although he left the two original battery posts...which i may resolder in and remove my wire posts, guess it was only a .5g savings.

The "battery posts" ARE the heatsinks on the FX-R's.

Yes i understand this. Easier to state that ill solder the posts than the battery heatsinks.

I just dont understand all the concern here but on the vendors thread its nothing but praise and great ideas. I only changed one thing between his and mine, which ill change back...the battery heatsinks to join boths fxr's and not the wire "heatsinks" like i made.

1-I'm making sure others that read this thread understand.
2-Your "wires" have insulation on them, thus reducing the heat transfer off them.

Not saying it won't work, just making sure others down the road understand better.
