If it works then you can either pick up a new bec board or just run it with the external bec. Quote:
I will have to look, but I may have a switch I can send you if it does... |
I popped the internal BEDS in both of mine, unfortunately it took two ESC before I figured out it was a bad battery. .. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
Re: Anyone Use Brushless Hobbies 120A ESC? How did your battery cause the BEC to go bad? That's weird. |
Bad cell, spiked voltage. All I can figure. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

Re: Anyone Use Brushless Hobbies 120A ESC? I just picked up an LT4, but can't get it to program. I have the Castle USB setup, has anyone used this cable with the Brushless Hobbies software successfully? It also came with a hobby king program card, but it only shows dashes when plugged into the ESC. I can't get it to change anything. I just emailed Stan, but figured I'd throw it out here as well for some help. |
Castle link won't work. Need the the BLH one. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
Re: Anyone Use Brushless Hobbies 120A ESC? Thanks for the quick answer on that one, it solves one problem. Anyone have an idea why the hobby king card isn't doing anything? I don't have a motor wired up yet....if that has anything to do with it. I have two hobby king cards and neither one if them are able to change anything. |
.....because you need the BLH adapter. .... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
Re: Anyone Use Brushless Hobbies 120A ESC? Maybe I was falsley under the impression that it can be programmed with the hobby king unit. The exact unit is sold on the BLH website and it came with the ESC, although it was purchased used and NOT from BLH. |

There are two different versions of the programming card, make sure you are using the right one. Edit: I don't know that the Hobbyking card will work properly...I've only ever seen the Hobbywing v2 cards be compatible. |
Re: Anyone Use Brushless Hobbies 120A ESC? Guess I need to order up then. Thanks for the help. |
Re: Anyone Use Brushless Hobbies 120A ESC? Hey, guys. I got my LT4 newer edition 120a a while back from Stan, and never got it installed until now. AWESOME. ESC. The programming software mated seamlessly with my old XP pro computer, and hooked instantly with the esc (once I realized I had to turn on the esc...) and then I set up everything. It's a dream. Despite the warnings, I'm happy to report that on 2s 4400mah 40c power in my 2 speed scaler it has no issues being plugged into a Novak 13.5t crawler sensored and still use reverse. I have my drag brake set on 40% and the throttle setting put to instant reverse, and it's all great. Really great. The ESC makes a tiny pause on its own between full fwd and full rev but it does both well, and zero glitch or odd stuff. Perfect. Thanks, Stan and team for putting this out. It's a great product for my needs, and has tons of jam. I'm running it with no fan attached (for space reasons) but in this application it won't make any heat anyway. The bec on the ESC is powering the RX and the LED light controller, and that's all. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-r...o/IMAG1101.jpg |
