servo issue: recommendation? first of all the servo is a solar servo 772 which only costs $23 new so i know the first answer will be buy a new servo! :) given that let me describe what i'm seeing. i was running it in my basher the other day and it worked for awhile then just stopped. i notice that if i pulled on the wheels then the servo would respond for a couple seconds then go out again. i let it sit for a day thinking it was overheated but the same thing. it will respond for a short time if i tug on the wheels. the setup i had when i first ran it was: bully moa rig, running the servo on a cc bec set to 7.4v. i pulled apart the servo today and the gears look fine and i didn't see any scorch marks on the board. it almost seems like something is hang up in the motor. any chance of saving a $23 servo??? |
I think it may be inside the motor and it not getting a good electrical connection and while turning it it may be cleaning the contacts enough for a quick connection, I would just get another one and keep that one for spare parts like the case and gears Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
