Default Getting dual fxr esc to setup with futaba 4pl

Ok I'm getting really frustrated with the performance of my xr10, I cannot get my tekin fxr esc to sync with my futaba 4 pl, they won't do anything when I follow the instructions on my tekin paper. How do I get them to setup together? A step by step would be great! And what should my EPA be set at on my 4 pl? Thanks again for any help at all!

1. There is a great step by step in Harley's thread.

2. You need to set ch2 and ch4 in throttle reverse for Tekin/Futaba.

3. Be sure both ESCs are set the same.

4. Calibrate each ESC to the radio separately. (you don't have to disconnect them from the receiver when doing each but put the rig on blocks so it doesn't run away).

I'm having problems with my esc not calibrating to my radio not my radio. Do I have to plug in the red wire and unplug the bec?

You need to reverse them in your radio.

Okay so they are reversed but when I do the front esc it won't calibrate for the reverse, only the neutral and full throttle

How small is your deadband? If its too small the esc's won't find all 3 positions of the throttle.
