sensor wire

on my Bronco build I am using a parallel port and part of an old printer cable to pass power and signals through the wall of my water tighten electronics box. to convert to brushless I need to get the sensor cable into the box, ideally through the set up i already have in palce. there would end up being two solders points and an additional connection point in the sensor cable to do this, will this cause any issues with how the ESC reads the motor?

If the wire size is similar, the lengths are not excessive (5' or less) and the solder connections are good, I doubt there will be an issue.

Then again, I don't know for sure which is why I didn't answer before.

Based off the fact they sell sensor harness in differnt lengths I'm gonna agree, I'd try to keeps the wire lengths the same also. I'll warn you that small wire is a pain to solder without melting the insulation. I've hacked into a bad harness to fix a few broken wires on a non replaceable harness before without issue.
