| Futaba 3pmx or modded FS GT3B
I have both sitting in front of me, modded the GT3b according to losikid. I have been a futaba guy for as long I've been in the hobby, and just now recently got back into it, and something has happened. I believe I prefer the GT3B. The 3pmx doesn't have a quality feel to it at all. They have the same case plastics, and the flat top of the gt3b gives it better ergo. and the $60 vs $6 Rx thing....don't get me started. I will be running a XR10 in the near future, so is there something that I need to know, something that should convince me to stick to the 3pmx? If not, it's getting put on ebay. |

I'm the guy to ask..... Hacked FlySky GT3B vs Futaba 3PM-x & 4PL....... I still have my 3PM-x in my dual ESC (and a WantAmix) 2.2 Bully. I have a hacked GT3B in my dual ESC 2.2 XR-10. I like the feel of the 3PM-x a little better, but the GT3B does everything I need for less $$ (a lot less). At this point, I would get a GT3B if I could do it all over again. I could get a hacked radio for about the cost of the Futaba RX. I'm using one of LosiKids templates for the dual ESC. It's easy to program and I'm looking to make some minor changes to it (flip the thumb buttons so they are in the same position as the 3PM-x). The support on the GT3B has been great. Hope that helps. Until now, ALL I have ever used was Futaba. I do wish the GT3B backlight was a little brighter for outside use. |

That's all I needed. I bought the 3pmx and liked it OK, then needed another receiver, and seen I could get the GT3b Tx and 3 receivers for the price of one futaba Rx...I'll go strictly with the FS Tx then. Thanks for the reply.

No problem. While I'm a "Futaba guy", I have to say the FS GT3B hacked is a nice radio...... then you add in the price. I will ALWAYS support Futaba....but I HAVE to give a nod to the GT3B. If you have questions about the GT3B, please ask them in the GT3B thread. |
