Default SR300 shutting off/killing TX link

Just purchased a Spektrum DX3C with the SR300 RX for my SCX10. Here's what is in it:

Integy 35t
Novak Rooster Crawler ESC
Axial AS-2 servo

I tried to install my 3Racing winch, but took it back out as a means of troubleshooting.

I did have a CC BEC installed but removed that in an attempt to troubleshoot also.

Okay, so I got home and carefully removed my TQ3 AM setup, put the new Spektrum stuff in and what not.

Here's the issue I'm having: I turn the TX on, then the truck as you should. Everything is good to go, I have steering and forward/reverse. So I try to adjust my trim settings and everytime I bump one of the switches the link between the TX & RX is broken. The RX shuts off and doesn't restart until I turn the transmitter off then on.

What could I possibly be doing wrong? This is my first Spektrum system, is this normal for this to happen til I get everything where it needs to be?

I used my friend's DX3.0 a few years ago and you could adjust anything and everything on the fly if needed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't have access to another Spektrum TX, without buying one.

Called my LHS, turned out to be the transmitter after some trial and error testing. They were also kind enough to exchange my system for a new one and since I just purchased it Thursday.

Cool beans....make sure you support them in the future.
Normally, if you have an issue, the LHS is within it's rights to have you go through the manufacturer.

I have supported my LHS for 20+ years.

Yes, I buy some items via the Internet, but try to buy from them all I can.

Yeah, I do try to buy most things through them. Because their prices are the same or better than online, and I won't have to pay shipping.
