ESC Troubles? XL5

Hello all, im having some issues with my traxxas XL5 esc.. It was running perfectly fine earlier this morning, and now it seems like it doesnt work at all. Ive tried binding it over and over again, but when i use the throttle it does nothing. The steering works though, could it be my receiver or the esc? The esc is brand new by the way, so im baffled.

Heres a video. Controller is on, steering works.

Iirc u may not have held the power button long enough as none of my xl5 would have the light blinking if turned fully on but if I just tapped the button I would have steering only.

Well ill need to try that then, I was thinking my lipo might be low on batter so it won't throttle but I can steer. It just doesn't make sense that it would do this right away..

You should also check your pack voltage while you are at it, is your xl5 the lipo ready version?

I would assume it is because I was running it on my 2 cell lipo for half an hour before this happened.

Also my motor is brand new too lol.

I also read that the xl5 doesnt have a lipo cutoff? Is that true?

Uhh.. STOP what you're doing and get some things figured out... You shouldn't be running a lipo AT ALL if you aren't even sure that the esc has a cutoff... You're going to have very bad things happen.

Now check the battery voltage... Assuming the esc does have cutoff (I hope it does) every esc I have the steering still works after the cutoff kicks in.
