Default Wraith lighting question.

I can't seem to figure out how to set up the stock lights so they can be controlled from the radio.
I'm using an older spektrum dx3 radio and I have the lights pluged in to the aux. channel. I set the aux channel to the 2P setting, but still can't turn the lights on and off. They are on all the time.

That light controller only has positive and negative wires for power. For remote switching you will need something like this Remote Switch For LED Lighting.

In the aux port they just use the power. Flipping the channel won't do anything. You need a light controller or use an external power source and a picco switch in your aux port. Then the picco switch can complete and disconnect the power to the lights using your transmitter.
Edit - drywallguy beat me to it.

I guess I'll just have to use one of the extra light controllers for my Baja 5T. That should work.

That is what I use, it works great, I even have a light bar as well running off it. Just change one of your switches to 2 way switch (i think I used the F switch) and you are good to go.

I ended up using a remote power switch from RC-LIGHTS.
It does the same thing and it only cost me 20 bucks.

so is there anything you can use/do if the 3rd channel is running a winch, and buying a 4 channel is not an option!

You could put a toggle switch on your rig somewhere. Or maybe check out my brake light controller.
