Testing ae-2 esc

How would you go about checking the internal bec.

Not thinking I throw a digital spektrum servo in my sons wraith. After a few runs it would not steer.

The servo is done. And I am going to run a cc bec now, but want to make sure the internal bec is still working.

An easy way is take a volt meter and hook it to the red and black leads of the esc's rx lead and it should read a voltage like 5 ish volts

K thanks

Also if I run an external bec like the cc one I am getting does it matter if the internal one is fried?

If your internal is blown, you just run the BEC through the receiver like I do. I'd still remove the red wire from the ESC's receiver connector, then plug the external BEC in any open slot.
