Futaba 9157s cuts out in a light bind

Ok so recently I've been starting to notice my futaba 9157s servo is cutting out in a small bind on my XR10 . My BEC is set to the max voltage the servo can handle of 6v. Has anyone els been having this issue? Also could this be caused by a battery with a low voltage? Kind of lost :(. any help is greatful . Thanks

Are you running the stock steering set up?
My 9157 would stall all the time when running the stock steering.
Upgraded to the vanquish parts and she is better. Still a lot of leverage on the servo though.
I upgraded to see what it would do.. I like the servo, more power..

Does anything else die at the same time?
How is the BEC connected....through the RX or direct to the servo?
A 1300mah 20C seems a little light, I would prefer a higher "C" for the mah. It's not bad, just on the light side.
Does the servo act the same on different packs?
What pack connectors (Deans, Traxxis, Tamiya, etc....)?

Yeah I'm running all vanquish knuckles and c hubs. Also running the chaotic crawler steering link.

Nothing really seems to "die" just the servo seems to bind up in the lightest of meneuvers between rocks . The BEC is being ran through the RX and I am actually running all 25c 1300mah rated battery's . I haven't really noticed if it acts different with other packs either and I'm running a deans plug setup and Iv got a solid solder on them all.

Sorry to dig up the dead but my s9157 is having the same problems. I'm running a similar set up on my scx10.
Seems like sometimes when I'm at full turn the servo will get stuck when there is a light bind. It only happens sometimes. A few times when it happened I picked up the truck and held the tire by hand and tried to turn the opposite way. It feels like there is no power.
Anyone have any advise for a fix?

This servo seems OK based on specs (it's a s9157)... TowerHobbies.com | Futaba S9157 Digital High-Torque Servo

Overall I prefer HiTec (7950's in most of our rigs), but I do have 1 Futaba (BLS157HV) that is pretty wicked.

Have you checked your steering EPA's? If you try to overdrive the servo it can lead to brownouts even with an external BEC.

Yes...this is the servo the thread is about...

Anyways...I have figured out my steering problem and it was not the servo, its the steering geometry itself. It turn out it is turning too much and going over center and with the slightest bind it would get stuck.
