Default shortest brushless can???? sensored

Anyone know what the shortest brushless motor can is. And i would like a good respectable well built motor also. I saw the new axial vanguard is 47mm long and the next shortest i could find is castle creations 1406 series at 49mm long can. Is the new axial vanguard the only option I have for something 47mm or smaller and i couldn't find anything from TEKIN either. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Neither the Vanguard or the CC motor is sensored...you're going to have to find better examples.

The sensor plug and harness come out of the back of the can (rear endbell, whatever) so you're going to have to account for that as well...

What is the application?

I don't think the Axial or Castle motors are sensored. Pretty much all sensored "540" motors are a standard length right now, about 49 to 55mm long. The shortest I know of is my Stubby Revolver that will be available in small qty in about three weeks depending on customs.

I need one about the size of yall's 35t brushed. Gotta be less than 47 mm in length to fit with the tranny. I can make a standard size 540 fit by cutting the frame a little but I don't want to hurt the integrity of the frame work either.

Running dig or no? If not, flip the trans, trim the motor plate, and shove it back as far as it'll go. You might have room.

Naw, No dig on this one. I'm running rear steer on it for sure. Im not setting it up for comp rules as there aren't any comps around here for hundreds of miles and this thing is getting set up for major hill climbing consisting of slick rock and dirt. I'll try flippin the tranny around. Its definate I'll have to trim the motor plate too. Thanks for the idea though that may work pretty well. Just so Im clear, your not talking "mirroring" the tranny are you, just flipping it around backwards?.

Thats a pretty cool little motor. Looks like they do a pretty good job of winning with them from all the pics on their website. Do you know anything about dependability of those?

I know nothing about the team power motor, it is probably just a short stack motor with a regular roar 540. Nothing crazy, and it won't produce as much power as a normal size motor.

SWEEEET!!!! Thats exactly what i was looking for. Are you going to offer it with a higher KV rating? I was wanting to get around 2900-3300 kv or 13.5t-17.5t.

SEE I KNEW YALL WAS THE KING OF MOTORS!!

First versions will be 3000kv and 2000kv. We can also wind it 1500 and 1000kv easily. Can't hit anything between 3000 and 2000kv without going to a Delta termination, which isn't so good with the sensors.

I really think either one will be perfect for what i need but Im leaning more towards the 3000kv for tire speed and torque. Am I correct in thinking that? You had suggested a 13.5T redline before and 3000kv should put me dead in the middle of 13.5t and 17.5t shouldn't it? Anything is going to be better than stock of course, its just a 20T axial motor.

Yeah, should be about between the two winds of redline motors.

Cool I'll start stalking your guys website and here to catch it. Do you recommend TEKIN RS esc or Castle mamba max esc to run it?

I saw a used 17.5T RCtech a while back, so I googled it, read about it, and remembered it when i saw your post. That's about all I know of them, so sorry, I'm not much help except having read about them.
There is a Team Power thread on RCtech that is 11 pages long, but I never read past the first two pages. Those that have them claim they are smooth and powerful, better than Novaks and the Trinity Dou 3, but I am not making that claim.

I see my link crapped out on me too, but I'm glad you found it anyway.
Here's an ebay listing with the KV listed with the turns, if you are still interested.

Good luck with your choice.
