Default Lurching

So I just recieved a losi mini crawler and it has a cc bec, sidewinder micro, holmes motor, and a hitec 5645 I think it is. I tried updating the software to the new 1.32 version and it started lurching back and forth. Kinda like I was switching between fwd and rev real quick. I put it back to the 1.22 version that it was originaly at and now it works fine. I want to have the up to date software but I don't know if it'll work. Why do you think it did this?

Sounds like it is in brushless mode.

Hmm. I'll update it again and charge a battery and then go through the settings. Do the settings reset when you update the software?

Alright, new problem, the esc gets power and lights up. But, it won't move. The motor got really hot during the test run. I think 3s was to much. I think it's a holmes torque master pro mini. It's blue and says torquemaster.

Did you try recalibrating the ESC to the RX?
It's always the 1st thing I suggest.

Yup, the esc is fine, it lights up like normal. But, no little start up chime. I think it's the motor, gonna send it in to holmes when I get the chance and have it rebuilt. Steering's fine, esc lights up like normal, batt & reciver work fine, bec works, only thing left is the motor. Doesn't the start up chime come from the motor? I could've sworn it said that in the manual.

Yes, the motor windings are what make the start-up chimes. There is no speaker in the ESC.
No sounds could just be that motor, loose brush spring tension, etc.

I would try disconnecting the motor from the ESC and try running it direct of a battery pack.

I'm going to send it in and just have it rebuilt/fixed. I have to much stuff going on right now and its just easier. The motor shaft won't move unless I grab some plyers and put some force into turning it. And I just got the truck too.
