You can cut the plastic fan shroud off, just leaving the four plastic pieces that capture the heat sink. That reduces the size quite a bit, and the RX8 will run a 3300 on 3s all day with no fan. Due to size constraints in my rig, I'm going to try an RS Pro. If you can fit it, the RX8 will be perfectly suited and super reliable. 5 amp BEC too will run a decent servo if you're not running an insane torque monster. |

Run a decent servo without an external BEC I mean. An external is recommended for anything over 280oz or so of torque, or if you're running accessories like a bunch of LED's or a winch.

Obviously if money is no concern then the RX8 will be great. I have 2 Castle MMP's and have no issues with them at all. But prices are a bit different I believe, I got my MMP for 105 and I think the RX8's are 200+ (I could be wrong though)

Hoping it'll do okay on 3s to a 3300, but that'll probably be pushing it. Will be 90% trails so I'm hopeful. Have an extra temp sensor coming for the mt4 to monitor it. Ty thought it'd be fine on 2s, and I won't be using the internal bec fort anything. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2 |

The RX8 is a beast. It is Tekin's 1/8 scale buggy/truggy ESC and run's massive 2650kv T8 motors just fine, and lower kv's on up to 6s. 5amp 6v BEC and 210 amps continous. The downside is it's large. The RS Pro is the 1/10 scale ESC, meant for super low turn touring cars and such. Not really spec'd for 4 pole torque monsters. It also supports sensored only mode and timing "turbo" which isn't really used on crawlers. It has a 3amp 6v BEC. Both are fantastic ESC's. RS Pro is a little more expensive than the RX8. Think of the RS Pro as a Dodge Viper and the RX8 as a Dodge Ram. If you can fit the RX8 somewhere, it'll handle the load effortlessly. If space is a concern, the RS Pro should be able to handle the sheer current, but doesn't have the huge heat sink and thermal properties that the RX8 does. RX8 33mm H x 40mm W x 56mm L 2.7oz (to top of posts with fan shroud cut off) RS Pro 23mm H x 31mm W x 35mm L 2.3oz |

You bet. With that much room, I'd definitely go with the RX8. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2 |
