| battery keeps over heating
my battery keeps over heating and gets way to hot to touch it....does this damage my truck or is there anyway to get it to stop over heating

You'll need to supply a lot more info than that. What type of truck? What motor and what other things is the battery supplying power to? Size and output of the battery and are you sure it's a NiCad and not a NiMH?
