Default junction connectors

Can I get some unusual ideas for connecting multiple wires together?

I'd like to join as many as 4 or 5 and I don't want to just solder them all together. Wire nuts are too crude, and most crimp connectors are kinda large when you get a stack of them.

Anyone know of any miniature terminals that can be used to make a compact junction?

Headers

Headers are the first thing that come to mind. If you need lets say 6 pairs with a double header (male and female so you can disconnect them) you would be something like .75"...Not bad in my book. If you are talking 4 as in 2 pairs then it would only be like .25 square.

Crimp on ring terminal to each wire (adding some solder for the electrical connection). Then, run a screw/bolt through all the holes at one connection and putting a nut on.
Wrap in tape when done.

Yeah, that's my current plan. Except I don't want to crimp them, solder only. This for disassembly, modification etc. My post was to see if anyone had a line on something even smaller. Some sort of miniature or micro ring terminal. If not, I'll go with what I found.

But I wondered if there isn't something different, just perfect, out there for this purpose but I'm just unaware. You never know. Thought I'd ask.

Ok I know this is a UK supplier but may give you something to work with:-

2mm hole solder tag.

Buy Tags and Barrier Strips Hot-tinned brass solder tag,M2/8BA RS ST-2LT online from RS for next day delivery.

Do all wires have to come back to the source? What's wrong with a single wire at the source and a parallel string with two wires at each light or whatever?

I ran all my wires to two seperate Nihm (you remember those?) battery bars... then continued with pos and neg to the source... cleaned up the wiring a lot and shortened my light leads.

Hope that helps

Post #2! Headers! They are perfect for small wiring and way smaller than ring terminals (at least the ones I have seen)
