Did you calibrate the ESC to the RX?

When I first put power to it it started to smoke so I unplugged it right away. So I rechecked all my wiring and everything was right. So I reconnected everything and retried to calibrate it. When I pull the throttle it lights green and when I put it in reverse it lights red. As soon as I plug the motor in goes full throttle and it will not respond to the radio. My steering and Aux respond to the radio but the speed controller.

We will get it turned around fast for you. No matter how many times we test them there is always a few failures when they are first used in a vehicle. I think it is shipping damage or something, it is really the only explanation.
