Default Holmes hobbies 13t crawlmaster in wraith

I am building a wraith for trail running and am getting worried about the weight of my pig with a brushed setup today, I'll be running all vanquish goods that you can purchase for the wraith, and the rear will have a servo and all steering parts needed for 4ws and I'll be running the stock plastic cage, im assuming that this will weigh in around 10ish pounds. Will the HH 13t crawlmaster be a good setup for this or will the wraith weigh too much and burn up the motor? Thanks guys!

I think more like 8-8.5lbs is gona be closer unless you run a ton of wheel weight. It should be fine. Use your gearing to regulate temps if it runs hot.

My 13t Crawlmaster Pro on 3s always ran super hot in my Wraith (controlled by a BR-XL). I would consider other options....probably a Pro4.

Or can be a beast! As well.. ;)

I have one in my class 2 xj and one in my sons wraith..

I started with a HH torquemaster pro and then the smoothest of smooth, HH crawlmaster pro. Now I'm running the HH Trailmaster BL. I geared down and crawl nice and smooth with it or open it up for great wheel speed for kicking mud or rocks up on the trail.

My son loves it geared up and doin hill climbs with it in his wraith and still has Nasty torque for low end crawling with the monster RB2's!

what are u geared at with this setup? Ive got a wraith axled scx with RB2s and I'm just starting to think about gearing and electronics. Will be trails with speed needed, kinda rock racer with some crawling if needed. You running 3 or 4s? Ill prob run both depending on situation.

What would be a good starting spur/pinion ratio for a crawlmaster 13t on 3s on an scx10?

My apologies.. Didn't see your post..
I'm running 32p gears. 56/11 gearing.. I let my son run 3s. I run 4s thru mine mainly. Very stout! All the torque for crawling you will need and a " little extra" wheel speed then "Needed".. Hahahahahaha...
