Default RC4wd wireless winch

Got RC4wd wireless winch today and put a deans connector on it and the thing doesn't work! tried two different batteries and no power at all. I have rechecked all the connections and everything is good except no power! Has anyone else had this problem and is it possible that I just got a bad winch controller?

Is this new?
Did you get the polarity correct when you hooked it up?

Did you put battery in the wireless key-fob controller?

Yes polarity is correct and yes there is a battery in the fob! I'm thinking of trying a heyok controller and see if that corrects the problem!

Need one? Send me a PM. I can put a JST connector on it so that it should just plug right into your winch without doing any soldering. ** This is me assuming that it uses a JST connector **

@ heyok - Do you make one that will run off a 2 position 3rd channel switch? I have narrowed this down to the wireless transmitter (fob)!

Yes, I make a controller for a two position channel. Winch Controller for Radio with 2 Position Third Channel

I've had one of these for about 6 months now. Havn't had a problem. You'll love it once you figure out the problem. I just made a splitter with some deans. Straight of battery then splits to esc and winch control. 7.2 NIMH. I did change the winch line though. The factory cable kinks and gets all tangled. I replaced it with some "49 strand" beading wire from A.C. Moore. Claims to be the most flexable, softest and most kink resistant. Its nylon coated stainless steel. Works Perfect! I was able to easily fit the whole roll of 15' on winch spool with room to spare. Cost $10. Well, Good Luck.

My RC4WD winch seems to be stuck. When I adjust the controller I can feel it move a little but doesn't move in or out.?????
