suggestions for a ESC please have a look

i'm running a custom made 1/8 rock crawler
the truck has
2 speed summit tranny
775 brushed motor
40 series rims and tires
3 cell lipo battery.

i'm looking for a esc that can handle this combination, but not break the bank. it doesn't have to be a crazy one, as i do not compete. but it would be nice if it had a drag brake.

thanks in advance.

I would say a Mamba Max pro would do the trick.

+1....or, a Holmes Hobbies BR-XL as you can buy them waterproofed!!8)

Either option will handle just about any brushed motor you can throw at it, both can be programmed with a Castle Link."thumbsup""thumbsup"

x2 to the mmp or brxl. Also check out the tekin 1/10 options for their size if real estate is at a premium on your build. Can't say I've had a problem with any of those 3 options "thumbsup"

just listed in classifieds section a holmes br-xl waterproofed edition used only 4-5 packs. also a castle link usb programming link to make setting changes on the esc.

ad may not appear yet as mods need to approve but check the classifieds.

I would not recommend any other esc. It's a beast!!"thumbsup"
Even if you pass on buying mine I highly highly recommend the BR-XL!!

I am a smaller company. Three workers, and a few out of house contractors take care of us right now!

I have had mixed results with 775 motors, but would certainly be willing to offer warranty/ replacement/ refund if a new BRXL didn't hang with your needs. We do have partial cost replacement if you get a used one too. It seems to be user related, as some people have no issues but a few customers burned up a few in a row with the larger motors.
