Default waterproofing electronics

So I just saw a infomercial for Flex Seal "liquid rubber in a can" i started to wonder if it would work to help seal servos, etc. and was wondering if anyone on here has ever tried or thought about it.

Sounds like plasti dip. I used some plasti dip on my 5955, seems to work well. I need to actually test it a little more though, like driving through a stream.

I have all of the electronics plasti-dipped on my scx10 and it has been run several feet under water with no problems. If that stuff is anything like plasti-dip then you will be just fine.

I won't say it was your issue, but I know it has been.

We (my son) lost a couple of ESC's and I'm convinced the "waterproofing" was the main issue.

Of course, it's "my problem" even though I don't waterproof my rigs/electronics......sigh.....kids......

There was some liquid that a couple of guys were using. Looked like green water, dip your stuff in it, let it dry and your done. Completely submerged after in water without issue. I cannot think of the stuff, but it worked for them.

Plasti dip is awesome but with some esc's it can be to runny let it sit out for a little bit it will get thicker and wont get in the little nooks and crannys I had one f ... up on me because it was to runny but with the Tekin esc's the whole thing can be submerged in the dip and the bottons can still be used as if they where never plasti dipped and will be 100% waterproof.

Get the pump spray bottle and then pour it in a small container. Then duck all your electronics in it for 15 min. Pull them out and wipe off the excess. Then for extra insurance put them in a ballon. I have had a esc shut down with just corrosion x (trying to walk on water with a rig ) so a ballon will provide that extra barrier.
