Default Fxr help me please

im at a loss i went out crawling today and went to bring my ax10 out for some fun i apparently had a lipo short and burn up the Capaciter so currently there is no CAP on the esc not sure if this is the reason why but this is what she does
truck spec
tekin fxr 50T brood spectrum dx3E
also tried my futaba 4pl

when i give it forward Throttle it goes wide open no matter how much or little i pull the trigger. when i go revese its even weirder slight reverse is WOT and the more i pull the trigger its like its ramping down and giving Less throttle once the trigger is actually pulled in reverse all the way its like That is the brake.

i do have a hot wire and have programmed it the same as a few people i searched on here

any Help PLEASE i can use it as i was going to use this rig as my truck of choice for a 1st time KOH we are going to be running a week from today

HELP PLEASE

ordered some caps. i guess easiest way to describe it.. typically it would be forward / brake / reverse mine is forward / reverse / brake does anyone know if this is due to the cap?

I think what he means is that running without the cap will damage the speedo, not that putting a new one on will fix it.

That being said I ran for a short amount of time with the leads broken to a cap on my Tekin RS and it acted erratic until I re-soldered it. There may be hope.

Leave it off until the cap is replaced and them fire it up and recalibrate it.

new cap soldered on. esc is still doing the same wonky stuff forward is wide open even with just slightly touching the trigger. reverse is even weirder it does not change the direction of the motor it goes the same direction as when pulling the forward trigger. and it ramps down. so slightly touching revers is actually WOT reverse and fully pulling the reverse trigger slows the truck down to brake. any help would be appriciated as i cant afford to buy a new esc rite now and i need this rig running for a KOH were holding locally this sunday

specs of whats being used
dx3E
sr300 rx
cc bec
3s 800mah lipo
tried a 20t hh a 40t brood and my know good test motor 55T axial

thanks in advance for any advice

Hmm, only other possibility I see is the cap polarity. Other than that a faulty esc, unless someone else has any ideas.

+1.

Why not try the 4PL again to rule out a failing trigger on the Spektrum now that the cap is replaced.
Remember to calibrate the ESC to the new RX.

When you calibrate, are you setting all epa's to 0?

Huh?? I'm guessing this was a typo??

EPA's to 100%
Trims & subtrims to "0"

Then calibrate.

Have you Factory Reset the ESC? Try that, then recalibrate. If it's still not working right then that shorted LiPo may have damaged it.

Press and hold both buttons and it will chime 4 times with the LEDs climbing up the bar. Once it does that, let go and then recalibrate it.

OK, I'll bite. What does that do to the ESC?? I will assume it makes all settings back to factory default, but why would that help in this situation??

Not complaining, just asking since we have a few Tekin ESC's in our house.
