| 2 position 3ch ON/ OFF switch.
This is how you make on on/off switch with an old servo that you dont need: Im useing an 80's futaba servo: first you must take the servo case apart. 2: thake the circit board out of the case, but BE CAFEFUL TO UNSCREW THE MOTOR SCREWS!!! there are 2 little skrews that keep the motor mouted to the box: then when you get the board out it should look something like this, mostlikely not exactly becausse first, every sevo is different, seconed because mine is from the 80's then unssolder the servo pot, and motor wires from the board: Now, since i didn't have to of the same resistors and i don 't know the value of my servo pot, i can't go much further, if you could help me find out what the value of it is, here is a pic of the gibberish i found on the bottom of the pot: Like i said, I have no idea what it means. But here are the rest of the steps: 3: solder the negative wire for your lights to the negative motor lead and positive to positive. 4: get 2 of the same ohm resistors, that eqal the value of the pot. 5: the one on the left is before, the one on the right shows where you put the resistor. then plug it in the 3rd channel, and you are ready to go! Dont give me credit for this, i foud this on another site. If you want the link i will give it to you. thanks for looking |

Using a DVM (digital voltmeter) check the resistance between the 2 outer leads on the pot, that is it's resistance. You need to use the "ohms" setting, it may look like a horseshoe on the meter. The center lead is the wiper which moves around the pot, varying the resistance. PS, the number returned may be just numbers (like 100) which is 100ohms, it may also be higher with a letter (like 100K) which is 100,000 (K = 1000 in electrical stuff which is different from financial stuff). If you don't have a meter handy, don't worry! The resistor value isn't really critical. What it is doing it making a voltage divider. It wants to see about 1/2 the voltage in the middle compared to the total voltage across it. Just don't make them too small or to large. Get a pair of resistors that are maybe a minimum of 1K ohms to a max of 10K ohms. Just keep them the same value. |

I'm going to be controling an axial simple light controler with 2 white leds, and 2 red leds. What would be the best resistors to use?

I might end up getting 4 white leds tho.
