tune up for a brushed motor and looking for a strong winch

i have a beat up motor. saw mud water.. rebuilding it now.. i have new bearings.. cleaned where the bushes make contact.. new brushes too.

anything else i can do to get some more performance out of it??


other then a rc4wd or 3racing... whats would be a strong winch? thinkin the only option is a servo winch.. witch to go for? also what to use to control it.

How did you "clean" the comm?? A cut on a motor lathe is the BEST way to do so. While you may have made it shiney, it may not be concentric or round (with no taper).

I have a lathe, I can fix it if need be (seeing as you're a local club member.....NOT offering my services to anyone else outside of GSRCRC).

As to a winch, a servo winch is a good choice, HeyOK makes nice (from what I read) winch controllers.

i just used a eraser.. did clean it up some.. ok have a lathe thats great. thanks for the help.. heyok for a controller, whats about a servo?
