Tekin FX-R and 2s lipo wont turn on

Hey, i just bought the Tekin FX-R and a Tekin 45t Heavy Duty motor. I was planning to run it with 2s lipo 5000mah 30c. but when i tried to connect the battery and ESC it didnt turn on. I also tried it with 6cell NIMH battery and it worked just fine. I already set the lipo cut-off to 2s, but it still wont start

Anybody who know what it might be? Or are suffering with the same error?

Thanks
Lars Erik

Can it be a bad lipo battery, becuase i think both of mine is broken? Either that or the charger is broken..

Hey maglizard,

Sounds like you are on the right track diagnosing the problem. The best way to figure out what is going on is to swap stuff around and see what fixes the problem. Like you are saying the problem goes away when you take the lipo away so that strongly implicates the battery to me. I don't think he lipo cutoff would be the problem becuase the ESC should still power up but just not chime and arm. Be careful with bad lipos. Get them out of your house. Maybe you have a friend with a 2S you can try? Or pick up a new pack. Then assess from there. All the best

I tried my friends lipo and it worked just fine, but how can my lipos get damaged just to lay at my desk for some weeks of not using them? I used my nimh battery becuase my esc coulndt take lipo :o
Thanks for response! :)

It happens, batteries can go bad without warning. I'm going to guess it has a bad connection inside the pack that may expande when warm and work, but once it cools off it fails to conduct. I've had it happen to me before.
