Airtronics or HiTec High Torque

Im trying to decide between the Airtronics 94780 which has 423oz @6.0v and the HiTec 7950TH which has 403oz @6.0v and 486oz @7.4v.
I can get the Airtronics for 115 and the HiTec will cost about 140.
Is the HiTec worth another 25+ dollars for another 60oz. Its going in an SCX10 TTC rig with BRXL and castle BEC Pro. Thanks for help and or advice.

I run the 7950, but I get them for ~$120 shipped, I think it's "power hobbies" and they have an Ebay store & are located in Sufferin NY.

Also check ServoCity, they have deals all the time.

ServoCity has the 7950 for 149.95 and power hobbies does not have it, they have the case replace kit. And the best online price is like 139.00 So Im trying to figure out if the extra price is really worth it.

7950 all the way. I wont run any other brand servo either. High Tec kicks ass.

Been running the Airtronics 94780 with a brxl no bec and runs good. Not noisy like my other hitec's....both very good servo's.

i've seen the airtronics 94780 split the case into before. after seeing that i would stick with the hitec. i know all servo's can break, but i've never seen any other servo split the case like the airtronics did!

I been running the 7950 for a few weeks and an totally happy with it, and just looking at the specs the hitec is the winner. That's why I chose it. I bought mine at the crawler store for 130.

I found some 7950's on eBay for like 115.00 new. They were just take offs from kits. I don't know how that affects the warranty but I haven't had any issues with it. The 7955 and 7954 are different stories though as I have broken the gears in both. Also tower list another hitec that has similar specs but they are newer models and over 200 bucks. I forget the model number but its in one of my catalogs

I think its the HSB-9380TH which pulls less power and can be maxed out indefinitely without damaging the servo. Something like 480oz at 7.4v

Guess ill try to get a 7980 seems like a pretty good servo. Just don't want to spend 100+ and be disappointed in performance.

Keep in mind the 7980 is a large servo, it may have fitment issues in tight rigs.;-)8)

I run a 7950....so far no complaints (using an external CC BEC).

I also run a Futaba BLS157 (?) on an external BEC. It's the only non HiTec servo we run in crawlers.

Haven't had a problem with my 7950 running 7.4 volts in my 2.2 comp crawler for two years. I know a few people who run them in ther supers and in their wraith so yeah get the 7950.
