| Help with dual escs smashed up...
My combo is a dual micro mamba pro sandwished with a cc bec and a bypass adapter. the whole thing worked nicely with my 4PL but recently upgraded for a 4PKS and a stronger 7950 servo. The result is that I wasn't able to replug all this stuff right. I contacted Chris that did the smash up for me and with his help, I finally got to replug some things right : Steering is now ok (the Tx wheel was acting like throttle), front motor arming with forward and reverse throttle (throttle trigger was steering the rig !!!) but (a big but !) nothing on rear motor !!! How can I know if I haven't smoked escs ? the thing is that on power, the escs smash up bips on normal sequence, I have steering, front motor working and rear muted and a few seconds after, the escs seem to reinitialize and start biping non stop. What's the problem ? What can I do ? thanks everyone for having an eye on my problem, Emmanuel. |

First thing to try is to recalibrate the ESC's to the RX, if you haven't already done so. Also make sure the connectors going to the RX are correct as far as color, usually the black or brown wire is towards the edge of the RX. |

I would check to see if the rear esc is plugged into the correct port on the receiver. Like Charlie said recalibrate. If your getting nothing from the rear and it is still lighting up and trying to arm tells me that either it the wrong port or your tx isn't programmed correctly.

Are you turning the switches on to arm both ESC's? When following Harleys set up mine turns on only the front ESC unless I hit the front dig switch. |

Hi guys, I just recalibrated the ESCs and still the same but I guess they're still working as both accepte the program. I can't find what's wrong as I entered Harley's setup in my 4PKS. Bypass adapter on ch.1, the esc with 2 connectors on ch.2 and the other with 3 connectors on ch.3. I set the CCBEC at 7.4v. and the truck is mounted on TEKIN pro 35T motors. My batteries are GENS ACE 450mah on 11.1v.... As said before, after a few seconds, the smash up makes a few bips and then starts bipping regularly...

With the 4PL/4PKS, isn't the ESC to go to channel-2 (front ESC) and channel-4 (rear ESC)? Channel-1 should be steering (or bypass in your case). |

He said he switched to 4pks, so Im assuming that they are similar enough to 4pk to be the same channels for mixing. I dont know what channels are used for the 4pl with mixing. Heres Harleys wiring diagram 4PK Setups, Tips, Tricks and Help Last edited by Erin; 10-02-2012 at 02:50 PM. |

Turn on your Servo View (Monitor) on the 4pks and see if both throttle channels move in the same direction and distance. This will let you know if your radio is talking to both ESCs on channels 2 and 3.

Sounds to me like the dig isn't engaging. Check the radio set up, it is VERY easy to miss something and have it act as you describe.
