i cant speak for the mmp, but on my rspros i de-case them, tape off the solder posts, and used the fast cure techspray conformal coating. at least 5 coats, and i lay it on thick.

the shit works too. at busse during a comp & fun run somehow my balloons seal was compromised and filled full of water, submerging my rx, bec, and esc, all of which were treated with about 5 or more coats of the conformal.

i ran all day like that without knowing until later at home when i took it apart to clean it.

I plan to send mine into HH for waterproofing.

Ya I have one but wanna do my MMP. I would think if I conformal coat the MMP it would work. I think that is what Castle does.

maybe just de greese electric the sensor for the wire?

That would be great if he does them.

send it to John. It's in the service tab on his website.

i use ultra copper gasket maker....
it seals as needed but can be removed as it is a "rubber-like" material once cured.

I did mine with plasti dip and plenty of high vac silicone grease around the sensor plug. If I had to do it again it would be a conformal coating. The tolerance between the case and board is a bit close for a couple decent coats of the plasti dip.

Do it to it sally.

i could provide a pic of the conformal coating but it pretty much just looks like a clear shillac coating over the board and components.

black rtv doesnt get hard when it dries and should be somewhat easy to remove too if needed, just kinda peel it off. dries similar to liquid e-tape.

if you really wanted a rock solid waterproofing diy system, do the conformal, then cover it up with dielectric grease or rtv, then use a balloon or rubber.

That's what I like to do, double protection.

I conformal coated the Pro4 sensor board, then sealed all the cracks and gaps in the can with the black RTV.

I didn't have Conformal Coating when I did my ESC and RX's but that's what I will do next time to them. Coat the board, then seal up the case with black RTV.

I found it at a local electronics supply store, JB Saunders.

You want the Urethane version and not the Silicone version, the urethane version is more durable. The one I got is made by MG Chemicals and is a brush-on type.

im not gonna say corrosionx wont work, but its just messy and i dont quite trust it...

i use corrosionx much more as a rust inhibitor/lube than i do a waterproofing method. i did shoot it in my pro4 before puting the sensor board back on after conformal coating it.

heres what conformal looks like on my claw winch controller. prolly 6-8 coats, last couple i just sprayed till it was dripping off, you can see the bubbles caught underneath the surface from being heavy handed with the stuff.

where do you get yours from? and it's a spray?

On the MMP or anything with sensors we use a conformal coating that Dow Corning makes, two to three coats. Urethane gasket maker is also a great choice, and relatively easy to remove if you need to inspect the item for repair.

Make sure to get the back side of the board where the sensor port goes in. That is where most issues arise from. Then use a good dielectric grease in the sensor port. When I get to the point of having my own brushless ESC I will be using a non standard sensor wire to help with the weather resistance.

edit... if you were asking about corrosionx i forget where i got it, but i did get it in a spray aerosol can.

I did not do enough research or I would have did a double coating like said above.

All I've done is decase the MMP and liquid tape it - a couple coats seems nice and thick.
This past weekend at ANWSC I went swimming in about 4ft of water for 4-5min. Pulled the rig out and it still worked a champ.
