novac rooster crawler esc, issues maybe??

Hi all,

This is my first post so let me start by saying hello to all and am looking forward to making a lot of help me posts lol. I just recently got bit by the crawler bug and am loving every minute of it from what I'm able to do so far which isn't much .

Alright guys here's the deal, I just got a losi comp crawler that I bought used and its in very very good condition like its never been ran good. Here's the break down of what's going on with it.

When the lipo is charged and I plug it up and turn it on it clutches somewhat but it crawles but sometimes when I crawl in a straight paith it sounds like a slipper popping but its not and when I'm doing this the esc is flickering the whole time and it seems like I have a bad lipo because even with a full charge it only last for about 15min or so. What could be the issue?? Any other issues that could be wrong??

Well there is the long drawn out question any help with be much appreciated as I am a new guy to crawler and electric as well. Oo before I forget it my rt/tx is an associated sc8 electronics.

What size battery are you using?
How old is it?

My personal exp with my Novak m2dig esc is that they aren't very efficient, when I switched to dual fxr my run time almost doubled. Double check all connections, and make sure the unused motor leads are well protected from everything metal and each other. Maybe it could be put in the esc dig mode? So it's only powering one motor?

Re: novac rooster crawler esc, issues maybe??

What battery chemistry (NiCD, NiMH, LiPO....)
What voltage?
What "C" rating (if LiPO)?
What connectors from pack to ESC?
Wat connectors from ESC to motor?

If ANY of the connectors are Tamiya or "standard bullets", change them first.
Period.

PS.....not sure where the "M2 dig" came from..... I "used to have one"....enough said.
