Default Better waterproof servo

So I'm looking for waterproof servo for my CC-01

Being there really are only 2 (technically 4) on the market, 2 being TRX and the other 2 Hi-tec

I guess since I've only used super high dollar racing servos I'm not even sure which one I need.

Money IS an issue because I don't have a lot of it
I dont plan on doing any HARDCORE crawling, more of a backyard basher, casual crawler, maybe a beach whore.

Is the $39.99 TRX 2075 more than enough, or should I go with the more expensive Hi-tec HS-5646?

The TRX is a touch faster, but the Hi-tec is a bit more torque

Just not sure which direction I should head?

if you already have a good servo it is not hard to waterproof them.

My vote is for Hitec. I've owned many Hitec servos and they are all I run in any crawlers. Even when I beat them like a rented scooter, they are resilient. I would consider the Traxxas servos stock running gear. Traxxas puts out some of the nicest stock electronics out there, however they are still stock electronics. I know money is an issue but the Hitec will almost certainly last longer which will pay off over the long run. As far as torque goes, that is something you can never really have too much of.

As mentioned you can waterproof servos relatively easy. I feel it takes time to refine this practice though. I lost a few servos until I perfected my technique and even still, there are no guarantees when it comes to water. I run a Hitec 7954SH in my AX10 that I bash. It is waterproofed and has held up great so far. You can find them for ~$80 shipped. With 400oz/in torque at 7.2v they are hard to beat for the price in my opinion.

I've sold most of them, and what I have left are mostly smaller 12th servos

I wanted to buy new because everything on this vehicle is going to be brand new, it's the first new kit I've bought in a very long time and wanted it to be pretty lol at least until I run it the first time

I would buy a good and strong HiTec servo something 200+ oz/in and waterproof it yourself with either Plasti Dip, Spray on plasti dip or Liquid Electrical Tape. Cover the case and put an O-Ring under the spline to help.

I just can't bring myself to plasti dipping a servo. I'm so meticulous when it comes to wiring and the presentation of my car (which I know isn't the crawling way). I've spent days wiring cars before and I just dont know it I want to have my servo plasti dipped

I guess I'm picky lol

Get a 2075 off ebay from a chop shop cheap. Just have some spare gear sets on hand, which are pretty cheap. Only problem I had running my 2075 was stripping the plastic gears. toughness was more important then waterproof for me, so switched to a hitec 645 on my scx10.
